The child and baby category is one of the fastest growing areas of community pharmacy and this award recognises excellence in this field.
Sales for the baby category alone are estimated to reach €45 million by 2021, this is a lucrative market and one that should be central to pharmacy. This award recognises innovation and excellence within the children and baby market in pharmacy. It recognises an outstanding pharmacy store, project or initiative where creative thinking, sound research and team work have combined to achieve real service development in this area.
Judges will be looking for:
- Demonstration of an identified need within the pharmacy community and details of the project implementation process from conception to resolution, including design and implementation.
- Evidence of plans for further research and development.
- Evidence of positive impact on women and families within the community.
