Service and development is the successful introduction of an idea, method or device that makes a genuine difference or positive change for the pharmacy, patients or both.
This award identifies the community pharmacy whose ideas and initiatives have or will lead to improvement in the patient experience and in all levels of care throughout the community. The ability to overcome challenges, demonstrate clear enthusiasm and commitment to the enhancement and best practice of community pharmacy must be clearly demonstrated.
Judges will be looking for:
- Successful models or systems that have improved pharmacies’ impact on patient safety and care.
- The development of systems or tools for the use in pharmacy which will clearly impact patient care and continue to act as templates for others in the industry to follow.
- The measurable benefits from a project or initiative – including financial data where possible. These can include statistics that will demonstrated added value, profits, customer satisfaction improvements, increased productivity or any other benefit relevant to the project.
